Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish
The Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies at UBC invites
applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor for the
period 1 August 2003-30 June 2004. Candidates should have a specialization
in Latin American literature, successful experience in university teaching,
and a strong commitment to undergraduate language instruction. Salary
will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The 15 credits
of course-work to be taught for the period of the appointment include:
advanced grammar and composition; second-year introduction to Hispanic
literature (in English); fourth-year course on Latin American literature
and/or culture (in Spanish); graduate seminar on Latin American literature
(in Spanish). Applicants should hold a doctorate in the relevant field
and possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English.
