PARTICIPATION NORMS
PAPERS, SESSIONS AND PLACES OF THE CONGRESS
The official languages of the Congress are: French, English, Italian,
Portuguese, Spanish and all Native American Languages.
Congress will be held in two places: in Perugia (Italy), on May
10th, 11th and 12th 2002 and in Saõ Paulo (Brazil) on August 6th,
7th and 8th 2002.
Each scheduled panel will be held in one or both the places of
the Congress, according to participant needs and demands.
Each paper, however, could be presented just in one panel and one
place. When filling the registration form, participants will choose the
place (Perugia or Saõ Paulo) where they will present their
paper. Papers must be read and presented by each participant in person.
Further sessions, in addition to those marked in the scheduled
list above, can be suggested not later than May 31st, 2002 to the Organizational
staff.
Each session will be given a number of papers between 3 and 7.
Maximun time allowed to presentations is fixed in 20 minutes.
All travel, board and lodging expenses are at participant's expense.
REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE TO THE CONGRESS
Attendance to the Congress is free. Registretion is required,
however, in order to read a paper or to receive the Proceedings.
In order to participate as a panelist to the Congress, people must fill
the Registration form they will find in this site (completed with
alla required data, an abstract of max. 700 letters and a curriculum vitae).
The form must be sent at the same time to the coordinator of the panel
where the paper will be presented and to the organizational staff of the
Congress. When accepted by the panel coordinator, the panelist must proceed
to the payment of the registration fee.
Deadline for registration to the Congress as panelists is June,
15th 2002 for those who participate in São Paulo.
The amount of inscription fee for panelists is EU 60.00.
Panelist who have been members of the C.S.A. "Circolo Amerindiano"
for the year 2001 will pay this aumount 50% reduced, i.e. EU 30.00.
Inscription fee to theCongress for non panelist (i.e. those who
are allowed to receive the Proceedings) is EU 30.00. Non panelists
members of the C.S.A. "Circolo Amerindiano" for the year
2001 are granted free inscription.
Membership fees for 2002 for the C.S.A. "Circolo Amerindiano"
is EU 30.00.
Conference registration covers the price of a copy of the XXIV
Congress's Proceedings. Membership in the C.S.A. "Circolo Amerindiano"
for 2002 gives the right to receiving ns. 12 and 13 of Thule. Rivista
italiana di studi americanistici, and a copy of the Proceedings for the
2003 Congress.
Inscription fees should be paid:
- by direct deposit on the bank account n. 10398/90, Agenzia 1 in Perugia
of the Banca dell'Umbria, ABI 6235 CAB 03002, registered under the name
Romolo Santoni;
- by direct deposit on the bank account n. 1056/3 agencia 19 do Banco
Credibel n. 711, registered under the name Toledo e Alcântara.
If required, inscription fee can be also paid in Perugia or São
Paulo at the beginning of the Congress. In this case, however, the amount
will be 30% increased.
PROCEEDINGS
The Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo Amerindiano" will
publish the Proceedings of the Congress.
The Proceedings will be free to participants, to registered members
of the public, and to members of the Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo
Amerindiano".
Papers should not exceed 30,000 characters. Papers submitted for
publication that do not conform to style guidelines provided
for Thule. Rivista italiana di studi americanistici will be excluded.
Papers should be sent to the editors by September, 15th 2002.
